Friends together in a bright public coastal setting

Safety & boundaries

More connection needs
better control.

A social product that encourages real-world connection has to make boundaries, identity, age rules, blocking, reporting, and group membership easy to understand.

Clarity over complexity

You should know who can reach you without hunting through settings.

HangWave is being designed so people can understand the social context they are in: who is inside a Circle, what is public, what is private, and what controls are available when something feels wrong.

Blocking and reporting need to be direct. Identity and account recovery need to be protected. Experiences with stricter age requirements need clear separation.

Safety is not the opposite of connection. It is part of what makes real connection possible.

Friends together outside
Real people deserve understandable controls.

Real life deserves care

The closer an app gets to real life, the more intentional it should be.

HangWave's purpose is to help people move from online interaction toward real plans and real communities. That makes consent, context, age awareness, privacy, and trust especially important.

The product should encourage people to meet responsibly, keep control over who can interact with them, and have clear tools when a boundary is crossed.

Human-first also means safety-first.
